Ingrained habits!

Walking to work this morning, I saw this:
It's the branch of a tree which grew through the fence. But now the tree has been cut down and there's just this little bit remaining. Maybe they can't remove it without damaging the fence?
Anyway, it made me think about habits - the good and the bad, and how ingrained they become in us, so that sometimes we carry on doing this long after the original reason has passed.

Hello! Just stopping by from "JUST WRITE" at The Extraordinary Ordinary.

Love this... how true that we get stuck on autopilot without even thinking of the why behind our actions.

It always amazes me how little it takes to pick up a habit, yet how long it takes to break one!

Wow. Amazing moment. I wonder too, what's the story? Why is the habit stuck...how did it get there...what kind of patience is it going to take for it to be removed...will there be lasting damage?
Great post...very thought provoking...thanks! :)
