What a piece of work is man!

We took the children to the soft-play centre this afternoon, (what Phoebe refers to as "the Bouncing") and I was noticing how well the children there were using their whole bodies which put me in mind of this Shakespeare quote:-

What a piece of work is a man, how noble in reason, how
infinite in faculties, in form and moving how express and
admirable, in action how like an angel, in apprehension how like
a god! (Except I always think of the song version from the musical Hair)

Mulling over Mull!

We have just returned from our holiday to the Isle of Mull, on which British-Canadian relations were further strengthened firstly at Euston Station;
then on the Caledonian sleeper;

at Fort William train station,

over many lovely meals;

and on the beach on the Holy Island of Iona.
We stayed at Park Lodge, which is the home of Josie Jump in Balamory,

and visited Duart Castle.

We were very lucky with the weather, and despite large amounts of fried food and theological philosophy we all remain sound in wind and limb, and everyone is still on good terms!
Here are some other pictures of the fantastic landscape:

Bath time!

We went to Bath this week to see the Roman Baths, take the waters, and most importantly to see an old friend. We can highly recommend it - not least the pig hunting! Try www.kingbladudspigs.org
