All the fun of the fair!

Everyone had a nap today so we were well rested.

To spend the evening at the fair!

This was last year's picture, but it's still our favourite ride!

How fun! Looks like a great time was had by all!

Kiddos and church--yeah. We have mainly been at churches over the past few years that have had great kids programs--not necessarily big whoop-de-do disco light, high-end production kind of kid programs, but children's church services where the teachers were really dedicated and passionate about teaching children about God. We have also had kiddos who preferred to be in service with us, and we always love that, but they know that in order to be in 'big' church, they have to be quiet and respectful.

All that said, I have spent the last 16 months walking the halls during church with the twins because I don't like to put my babies in nursery and the twins missed the memo on the quiet and still thing--so I'm 'doing church' by praying while walking the halls and singing praise songs while rocking the twins!

Given that you are Russian Orthodox (one of my dear, dear friends is also) I'm assuming that your family is all together for the liturgy. I would bring a bag of soft toys that is ONLY for church. I have a soft stuffed Noah's Ark that the kids have played with during service. You might consider a Baby Jesus and Mary, etc., just little things that are reminders of the faith while being quiet and of special use, only to be played with during service--

Blessings!
