How children learn

Isn't this fascinating?

A tale of Two Christmases!

Here are some deer prints we found in Grandma's garden on Christmas morning! The children were MOST impressed!
This one looks a bit like Edvard Munch's The Scream. No?

Here's Tabby toddling round Grandma's kitchen while we get Christmas dinner ready.

Guy got three, count 'em, THREE! Roarasauruses from his doting Godfather - happy boy!

This is the children's Parish Play;
Phoebe was the shop-keeper.
Based on this book. The story is about how Alexi and his sister learn from their babuskha that their Russian village church has been closed for sixty years, the resourceful young children decide to prepare it for a Christmas miracle.It's particularly relevant for us, partly because St. Nicholas is our Parish Saint, but also because our new church had been deconsecrated and used as a factory, before we bought it and returned it to being a place of worship. You can read all about it, and see the photos here.
Then New Year's Day with Nanny and Grandad, brother and sister in law, and baby Jack!

Isn't he a handsome chap?
Then our Parish Children's Christmas party.
Here's Fr Stephen demonstrating how to play Musical statues.
The last dancers standing!
And the clergy judging the musical chairs.
And Tabby-Kat!

Here's Tabby under the tree for Eastern Orthodox Christmas!

You may have heard this one before, but I like this version!
